How to make Soft Porridge with your Automatic Pap Maker
This tutorial will guide you through the preparation of porridge using your Appetite Automatic Pap Maker.
- First, switch on the appliance by pressing the on/off button . The status message will be shown on the display.
- Open and place the lid.
- Then, attach the stirrer.
- Remove the cooking vessel from the housing body.
- Ensure the Measuring Cup for maize meal is ready for use.
- The cooking vessel and stirrer are dishwasher safe.
- Choose the function Porridge on the control panel. The status message will be shown on the display.
- Then select the number of potions on the control panel, using the + and - The status message will be shown on the display.
- Pour the required amount of water into the cooking vessel, under the label Maize Meal, to the number line matching the number of portions you have selected on the appliance.
- To guarantee the quality of the recipe, ensure you fill the water precisely to the correct level.
- Dry the outside of the cooking vessel and insert it back into the housing body.
- Close the lid securely and press OK to start heating the water. The status message will be shown on the display.
- To avoid scratches, ensure the stirrer does not make contact with the cooking vessel when opening and closing the lid.
- The number of cups of maize meal required matches the number of portions you have selected on the appliance. Please see table below:

- Mix the required amount of maize meal with cold water thoroughly in a separate container using the measuring cup.
- The appliance will notify you once the water is ready. The status message will be shown on the display.
- Then open the lid. Beware the inner surface of the lid, the stirrer and the cooking vessel will be hot during and after the preparation.
- Add the maize meal and cold water mixture into the cooking vessel.
- Close the lid securely to start the cooking process. The status message will be shown on the display.
- The cooking process can be stopped at any time by pressing the Cancel
- Please note once the cooking process has been stopped, it cannot be restarted and the appliance automatically resets the preparation.
- The appliance will notify you once the cooking process is completed. The status message will be shown on the display.
- To avoid any scratches, only use a non-metal spoon or spatula to remove the pap from the cooking vessel.
- The appliance will keep warm for up to 30 minutes after cooking is completed.
- To turn off the appliance, press the on/off button .
- It is important to clean the Automatic Pap Maker after every use.
